Church Point, N.S.: The Université Sainte-Anne Dragons (4-2) hosted the UNBSJ Seawolves (2-4) in their second weekend match on Sunday afternoon at the gymnasium of the Marcel-R-Comeau Sports Centre at Université Sainte-Anne in Church Point, N.S. 

Prior to the game, Université Sainte-Anne's Recteur et vice-chancelier Kenneth Deveau presented the Dragons New Sponsorship Program and announced the program's first 2 sponsors - la Municipalité de Clare and l'Association des alumni de l'Université Sainte-Anne that will offer continued support to student-athletes participing in the institution's 4 sports teams. Also, a special ceremony to display the 2024-2025 ACAA Men's Volleyball Championship banner was held with past team members Gabriel Beaton and Jeremy Bourque, as well as this year's Captains Liam Pelletier, Louis Philippe LeBlanc and Vincent Doucet along with Head Coach Gille Arseneau. It was also a time to highlight the Dragons' fourth-place finish at the National Championship last March in Niverville, NB, the best performance by an ACAA team in history.

The jam packed gymnasium was in top shape and the crowd full of energy supporting their Dragons who took a straight sets win: 25-17, 25-16 & 25-21. 

For the Dragons, Liam Pelletier led with 15 kills, 4 Service aces and 6 digs, Louis-Philipe LeBlanc with 10 kills, Vincent Doucet with 10 digs, and Ethan Aucoin with 4 Service aces and 31 assists. For UNBSJ: Adam Gauthier with 8 kills, John Benfica with 11 digs, and Jackson Ramier with 21 assists.

The Dragons will host a pair of weekend matches with the Holland Hurricanes at 4 PM on Saturday at 12 PM on Sunday at Université Sainte-Anne in Church Point, N.S.

Pointe-de-l'Église, N.-É. : Les Dragons de l'Université Sainte-Anne (4-2) ont accueilli les Seawolves de l'UNBSJ (2-4) pour leur deuxième match du week-end dimanche après-midi au gymnase du Centre sportif Marcel-R-Comeau de l'Université Sainte-Anne à Pointe-de-l'Église, en Nouvelle-Écosse.

Avant le match, le recteur et vice-chancelier de l'Université Sainte-Anne, Kenneth Deveau, a présenté le nouveau programme de commandite des Dragons et a annoncé les deux premiers commanditaires du programme : la Municipalité de Clare et l'Association des alumni de l'Université Sainte-Anne, qui offriront un soutien continu aux étudiants-athlètes participant aux quatre équipes sportives de l'institution. Une cérémonie spéciale a également été organisée pour présenter la bannièree du Championnat de volleyball masculin 2024-2025 de l'AASC, en présence d'anciens membres de l'équipe, Gabriel Beaton et Jeremy Bourque, ainsi que les capitaines de cette année, Liam Pelletier, Louis Philippe LeBlanc et Vincent Doucet, accompagnés de l'entraîneur-chef Gille Arseneau. Ce fut aussi le moment du souligner le 4e rang lors la participation des Dragons au Championnat national en mars dernier à Niverville, NB, le meilleur rendement d'une équipe de l'AASC dans l'histoire. 

Le gymnase était rempli à capacité et la foule était en pleine forme et débordait d'énergie pour soutenir les Dragons, qui ont remporté la victoire en trois sets consécutifs : 25-17, 25-16 et 25-21.

Pour les Dragons, Liam Pelletier a mené le jeu avec 15 attaques marquantes, 4 as et 6 récupérations, Louis-Philipe LeBlanc avec 10 attaques marquantes, Vincent Doucet avec 10 récupérations, et Ethan Aucoin avec 4 as et 31 passes. Pour l'UNBSJ : Adam Gauthier avec 8 attaques décisives, John Benfica avec 11 récupérations, et Jackson Ramier avec 21 passes.

Les Dragons accueilleront les Hurricanes de Holland pour deux matchs la fin de semaine prochaine, samedi à 16h et dimanche à 12h à l'Université Sainte-Anne à Pointe-de-l'Église, en Nouvelle-Écosse.
