The Holland Hurricanes hosted the Universite de Sainte Anne Dragons on Saturday evening at the MacMillan Center for Community Engagement.
The fans were treated to a great game of volleyball.
The Hurricanes came out storming. Taking an early 13-3 lead from the hot hand of John MacKinnon. MacKinnon served 8 consecutive times, with 3 consecutive aces in the middle of his run. Not much could go wrong for the hometown Canes as they secured the first set 25-17.
The second set saw the Hurricanes continue that moment in the second set, again taking it 25-17.
The Dragons would not go down easy and took the game to the Hurricanes in the final three sets.
25-22, 25-16 and 15-11 to show why they sit at top the ACAA standings.
Liam Pelletier has some thunderous kills in the final sets and finished with 14 kills in total to lead his team. Louis Philipe LeBlanc had a solid overall game with 11 kills, 9 digs and a couple of assists.
Carson Gray had an all-star performance in the loss, with 24 kills and 8 digs. Tyler McBride had 39 assists as the setter.
Theses two teams take each other on again tomorrow at 11am.
