The Holland College Hurricanes hosted the USTA Dragons on Saturday at the McMillan Centre, in ACAA Women's Volleyball action.
It was a dominant first set for the Canes, who kept a comfortable lead against the Dragons. The Canes won their first set 25-14.
Charlotte Sweetapple led both teams with five kills after the first set. Sweetapple set the tone early, finishing with an ace and two block assists.
The Dragons fought hard in the second set. Outside hitter Amy Arsenault finished with five kills. Although it wasn't enough, and the Dragons lost their second set 25-18.
The Canes won their third and final set in convincing fashion, winning 25-10.
The key players for the Hurricanes were Jenna O'Neill, who had nine kills and seven digs, Charlotte Sweetapple with six kills and four aces, and Marissa O'Donnell, who had 18 assists."
The key players for the Dragons were Amy Arsenault with nine kills, and Jacqueline Bright with 15 assists.
