The St. Thomas Tommies dropped their first game of the season 3-1 to the Mount Allison Mounties in ACAA women's volleyball action, Sunday morning in Fredericton.

It was a highly competitive game, with neither team winning by more than five points. Set scores were 20-25, 26-24, 22-25, and 23-25. Service errors were the difference maker for the Tommies--they had 19 while the Mounties had only seven.

Laura MacDonald led the Tommies with 10 kills, 11 digs, and three service aces. Shaniya Vance chipped in with 10 kills, three digs, and one service ace.

The Mounties were led by Lynne Arsenault, who had 18 kills, nine digs, two service aces.
