Emily LePine struck early in the game, putting the Hurricanes up on the scoreboard at just the 4 minute mark. Emily Cormier followed suit at the 28th minute and Calandra Bychyk scored just before halftime at the 41st minute giving the Hurricanes a 3-0 lead going into half time.  Emily Cormier scored her second goal of the night in the 56th minute giving the Hurricanes a 4-0 lead.  The Hurricanes were able to protect the lead until the end of the game, giving Sam MacEachern a shutout for the Hurricanes.  The Hurricanes travel to Fredericton Saturday to take on the STU Tommies and then Sunday to face off again against the UNBSJ Seawolves.
