It was the Hurricanes' turn to pick up a five-set victory Sunday afternoon, as they defeated the STU Tommies in another thriller on opening weekend. 

Set scores were 19-25, 25-19, 23-25, 25-18 and 16-14. 

The Tommies and Hurricanes both sit with 1-1 records following the opening week of play. 

Cameron Calhoun's 22 kills led the match while Adam McDougall had 13 for the Tommies.
