Annik Whiten’s efforts set the pace for the Hurricanes women’s rugby team as they came away victorious in a hard-fought close match with Mount Allison on Sunday. Second-year player and captain, Whiten scored two tries, and led the attack with her great work from her 8-man position. As the primary line-out jumper she stole multiple opposition throw-ins. She was a force on defence making multiple key tackles to secure victory.
