The UNB Saint John Seawolves matched up against the Holland College Hurricanes Saturday in ACAA women's volleyball.
The Seawolves were hoping to make up ground on the second place Hurricanes. The Hurricanes looked like there were going to run away with the match as they took the first two sets 27-25 and 25-14. However, the Seawolves had other plans as they stormed back to win 25-18, 25-20 and 28-26 and complete the comeback victory 3-2.
Jenna DeGooyer had a great match for the Seawolves with 15 kills and 13 digs. Dayna Alexander added 13 kills and 8 digs, Emilie Diesbourg had 13 digs and Taylor McGrattan contributed 42 assists. Jasmine Smith led the Hurricanes with 23 kills and 16 digs. Abby Hyndman has 11 kills, Katie Wood added 22 digs and Laura Ready finished with 51 assists.
The Seawolves jumped to 10-6 which vaults them into third place while the Hurricanes dropped to 11-4 to remain in second place.
The Seawolves play at home again Sunday, February 3 at 12:00 PM against Dalhousie Agricultural College while the Hurricanes host MSVU at 12:30 PM.
