ACAA women’s volleyball

The UNB Saint John Seawolves took on the Mount Allison University Mounties Saturday in ACAA women's volleyball.

The Seawolves completed a three game sweep. The first set may have been the key as the teams went to extra points before the Seawolves prevailed 27-25. The Mounties were never the same as the Seawolves did a great job dissecting the Mounties defense and won the final two sets 25-19 and 25-18 for the victory.

Jenna DeGooyer was on fire for the Seawolves with 13 kills, 4 services aces and 6 digs. Taylor McGrattan had 27 assists to orchestrate the attack and Megan LeBlanc finished with 9 digs for the winners.

Rachel McDougall paced the Mounties attack with 7 kills and 5 digs. Hannah Crouse had 9 digs and Sophie Landry had 20 assists and 6 digs.

The Seawolves climbed to 7-4 and moved into a tie with the Mounties. The Seawolves play the first-place MSVU Mystics Sunday at 11:00am while the Mounties try to rebound when they host the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus Rams at 2:00pm.
