Big second quarter propels Mystics past Tommies

The Mystics outscored the Tommies in the second quarter 28-13 that allowed them to gain control of a very entertaining game today at the A. Garnet Brown gymnasium. In the second league match up of the season between these two teams with the Tommies winning on their homecourt, it was important that the Mystics responded.

The Mystics had a 26-16 points in the paint and a 17-8 points off turnovers advantage but their poor free throw shooting and the Tommies outrebounding the Msytics, it allowed the game to stayclose in the second half. The Mystics had 4 playewrs with double digits and came up a little shy on their 88 points a game scoring average. The Tommies were led by Alyssa Jeffrey who had a strong game on both ends of the floor. She finished with 18 points.

The Mystics head to Moncton , NB on Sunday the 27th to face the Crandall Charegers with a game time at 3pm. The Tommies head accross the city of Halifax to match up with the UKC Blue Devils.
