Chargers Drop Seawolves 61-56

The Crandall University Chargers used a strong third quarter to get past the University of New Brunswick Saint John Seawolves 61-56 during the Seawolves' home opener Friday night. 

The Seawolves came out of the gate strong, holding a lead throughout the first half half, heading into the break up 35-29. The second half wasn't as kind to the Seawolves, as they Chargers would take the lead at the midway mark of the third quarter and never look back. 

The Chargers got a pair of double doubles from Kassidy Hamilton (23 points and 13 rebounds) and Alexa Rancourt (16 points 11rebounds), while the Seawolves got a pair of double doubles from Bailey Henderson (16 points and 10 rebounds) and Hanna Grossman (10 points and 10 rebounds). 

Next action for the Seawolves (0-1) comes Sunday when they head to Fredericton to take on the St. Thomas University Tommies (0-1), while Chargers (1-0) will host the Mount Allison University Mounties (1-0) that same day.
