ACAA women’s basketball

The UNB Saint John Seawolves met the Mount Saint Vincent University Mystics in ACAA women's basketball Saturday in Saint John.

The Mystics took it to the Seawolves early and often as they raced out to a 47-6 halftime lead. The Seawolves rebounded in the second half but it was still all Mystics as they defeated the Seawolves 92-39.

Nikki Arsenault has 16 points and 4 rebounds. Kelsey McGrath scored 12 points and Madison Doucet added 10 points. Julia Bennett had 12 points and Autumn DeMerchant added 7 rebounds to pace the Seawolves.

The Mystics remain undefeated at 16-0 this season, good for a solid hold on first place. The Seawolves stand at 7-9 which leaves them in fifth place in the eight team circuit.

The Seawolves next action is Sunday, February 10 when they travel to Halifax to take on the UKC Blue Devils at 2:00 PM. The Mystics travel Crandall for a 1:00 PM.
