Mystics struggle shooting but win 11th straight.

The two week layoff seemed to have knocked the Mystics off their offensive scoring stride as of late. It wasn't for lack of trying as the Mystics took 90 shots, had 18 offensive rebounds, forced 41 turn overs and yet only scored a season low 63 points. The game provided many opportunites for the Mystics to blow it open but they could not seem to hit shots that they normally do. Miss after miss they just would no fall. But one thing is for certain their efforts on defense did not slip. Holding the Mounties to only 43 shot attempts, forcing them into many turn overs and keeping them off the offensive glass proved too much pressure for them to find any groove offensively and as a result the Mystics win their 11th straight and continue to sit a top the ACAA standings in first place. Nikki Arsenault led the Mystics with 24 points and 11 rebounds while Kiersten Mangold led the Mounties with 15 pts and 14 rebounds.

The Mounties fall to 8-5, good fir third place. The Mystics host the Crandall Chargers tomorrow at 1:30 and the Mounties head home to host the UKC Blue Devils at 2:00pm. Both games can be seen on acaatv.ca.
