ACAA women’s basketball

The UNB Saint John Seawolves met the Mount Saint Vincent University Mystics in ACAA women's basketball Sunday in Saint John.

The Mystics put on a show as they jumped out to a 46-26 halftime lead and cruised to a 84-44 victory. Kelsey Crocker had 15 points in only 19 minutes to end the Mystics. Tahlia Jones added 10 points and 8 rebounds in 17 minutes of play while, Alisha McNeil had 10 points and 4 rebounds in 16 minutes.

Rookie Julia Bennett was the high scorer for the Seawolves with 9 points. Sophie Sharp had 8 points and 5 rebounds.

The Mystics remain undefeated and comfortably in first place at 10-0. The Seawolves check in at 4-6 which puts them in fifth place.

The Seawolves next action is Saturday, January 19 when they travel to DAL AC  to take on the Rams at 3:00 PM. The Mystics host the Rams Sunday, January 20 at 1:30 PM.
