The UNB Saint John Seawolves took on the Mount Allison University Mounties Sunday in ACAA men's basketball.
The Seawolves were hoping to build some momentum heading down the regular season stretch but the Mounties would have none of that, holding the Seawolves to 10 points in the first quarter. The Seawolves never really got close as the Mounties closed out an 83-72 victory.
Aram Currie scored 21 points to lead the Mounties. Mack Chisholm was not far behind with 20 points and he added 12 rebounds. Jeshua Becker added 16 points and 6 rebounds. Keegan Gray paced the Seawolves with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Brother Hunter Gray finished with 13 points and 9 rebounds and Jacob Vickers added 13 points and 7 rebounds.
The Mounties raised their record to 10-6 while the Seawolves fell to 5-10. The Mounties play at Holland College Wednesday, February 6 at 8:00 PM while the Seawolves host MSVU Saturday, February 9 at 4:00 PM.
