In a rollercoaster of a game, the STU Tommies best the UKC Blue Devils 106-102 in overtime at the Kingdome. The game looked all but over at the end of the 4th quarter when Tommies' Arthur Reece III sunk a three pointer to put his team up by 2 with 2.4 seconds left to go. However, the Blue Devils' Campbell Colpitts responded immediately with an ice-cold buzzer beating layup to tie the ball game courtesy of a slick assist from his teammate Nick Frew. Ultimately, the Blue Devils were bested in the overtime period, led by an impressive performance from #10 Carlo Theriault. Tensions ran high throughout the game, especially when Tommies' Almin Dervisevic was sent off in the 2nd quarter for allegedly biting King's #22 Ben West. In all, the audience at the Kingdome was treated to a high-intesity, thrilling game that kept its pace right up until the very end.
