Male Athlete of the Week, February 26th, 2019

Holland Hurricanes Men’s Volleyball

 Butler, a fifth-year left-side for the Hurricanes, was named a CCAA All-Canadian and ACAA All-Conference player on Friday evening at the ACAA awards banquet.

He also led the Hurricanes to an ACAA Championship on Sunday in front of the Hurricanes fans at the Holland College Centre for Community Engagement. 

In Saturday’s semi-final victory over the UNBSJ Seawolves, Butler recorded 15 kills and 15 digs in the straight-sets victory.  He then added 28 kills and nine digs in Sunday’s ACAA Championship game victory over the number-one seed, STU Tommies, in four sets.  Butler was also named the player of the game in the championship match.
